Thinking it will be May before we move in is somewhat discouraging. That seems like an eternity. Maybe more because our living arrangement is not ideal than because I feel (based on my vast knowledge of construction) that it shouldn’t take that long.
Last Saturday we stopped by the new house and thought we would see some framing started – like one wall. Instead, we were pleasantly surprised by the fact that almost all of the outside walls were up. Then, as you’ll see toward the bottom, two days later all the walls were up and interior walls were going up.
We try to take a picture from this spot each time we come out. It is the front left corner of the house – our garage. Initially the best vantage point. Now… not so much.
See that little ramp? It’s about 6″ wide at the far-right of the photo. My wheelchair isn’t going to make that. As you’ll see my very brave partner in crime braved the danger and actually walked around in hour house.
This is the front-right side of the house. The yard is too treacherous to drive on so this is from the road at the edge of the property line.
This is from the back of the house
The is in the middle of the back of the house. That ramp is going into what will be our dinette.
These are various pictures from inside our house. I am very jealous that Lisa gets to go inside and I cannot yet. It is so cool! (NOTE: these may not work well on your phone)
Just a few days later I drove by and the sounds of power tools, hammering and country music were coming from our property. First time I ever liked the sound of country music 🙂
